Lake size, depth and features

At 2.5 acres in size and naturally fed by water entering through our filtration system, the clay lined lakebed has a variety of underwater features with numerous plateaus and gullies, the depths ranging from 3-6ft.

Swims

The lake offers a unique fishing experience from our two island swims (double + single) and an additional daytime swim for off island fishing.

 

How many anglers?

The lake is an intimate venue, for a maximum of 3 anglers.

Do we need to bring nets?

We supply all landing nets, weigh-slings, cradles and weighing tripods.

What stock is in the lake?

We have a mixed head of Mirror and Common Carp to 60lb+, the majority are between 30lb and 50lbs. There are no crayfish, poisson chat or catfish in the lake.

Can I bring my own bait?

House bait only, this is ensure the correct nutrition is going into the fish. We do allow sealed, branded particle like Dynamite Spod Mix. No tiger nuts between April and October.

Are bait boats allowed?

Yes you can bring a bait boat and will have access to our rowing boat however outboard motors are not permitted.

Do you offer food packages?

We offer the option of a daily breakfast baguette (eggs, bacon and sausage) or fresh croissants delivered to your bivvy.

What are the local amenities?

The lake is a short drive to the local village where you will find a boulangerie, small butcher and Monday night pizza van.

The closest supermarket and fuel station (Intermarche) can be found in Domfront, which is a 10 minute drive.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the local area, some offering a takeaway service.

Are dogs allowed?

Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be on a lead at all times when not on the lake island.

Does the lake have Wi-Fi?

The lake does not have Wi-Fi but mobile reception is typically very good at the lake and surrounding areas.
